Love that the water goes through and it hasn’t faded in the sun.

Features
Features
- Woven with Heart and Hand in Maine
- Works well for and withstands all weather conditions
- Mold and mildew resistant
- Does not harbor insects
- Does not hold water, fast-drying
- Does not shed
- Easily cleaned by shaking out or hosing down
- UV protection is added to ropes in moderation, allowing colors to fade beautifully over time.

Important Notes
- For hard, smooth surfaces, use anti-skid pad or tack nails to prevent mat from sliding.
- In more sun-exposed areas, particularly the southernmost U.S. regions, lighter rope colors like Sand or Fog Gray are most prone to fading. We recommend darker colors like Charcoal or Navy for better longevity in these conditions.
- Handmade, each piece is unique and size may vary an inch or two
- Due to the nature of rope, it is normal for shade and sheen to vary slightly. Per order, color consistency is guaranteed.
- Product color may not match website photos exactly due to screen settings or potential variations in rope as mentioned above.
- Made to clean footwear and may be rough on the bare feet
- 1.25" door clearance required

Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 16 reviews.
I ordered the XL samples. I ordered the 2 mats a couple of weeks apart. When ordering samples, you don't get to choose the colors but you do get a great discount. However, when the 2nd mat arrived, it was the same colors as my first mat. Someone must have looked up my prior order and matched them for me. Thank you for being so thoughtful. The mats are great and will definitely last for years. They definitely make the place look much nicer than the old ratty ones. I love them.
Makes my front door welcoming, elevated in style and intentional in how it pulls together my entrance.
Great product. Well made. Sample sale was a great price, all theor colors are good.
I love it - looks great thanks
I was hesitant to spend so much money on a front door mat, but was tired of coir mats that distingrate with weather exposure. The large size fits the entire front door concrete pad, and is heavy duty rope to scrape off mud and debris. Good construction and I expect that it will last many years.
Store owner replied: Hi Natalie, We're so glad you're happy with your purchase! NOT regretting a purchase is one of life's great little joys. Great to hear the mat is as rugged and beautiful as you were expecting. We'd love to have you post a photo of your entryway space with your new mat, if you're willing to share via this review! Thanks, Dean
Looks great!
Exactly what I was looking for!
I was disappointed that I received a solid color mat from the sample sale. Even at a discounted price, I was hoping for a multi color mat. I think the solid color mat should be excluded from the sample sale or offered separately at another price point.
Store owner replied: Hello, Lucy! Thank you for your feedback. We understand your expectation regarding the sample sale assortment and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Your suggestion about how solid color mats are offered within the sale is helpful and will be shared with our team as we continue to refine future offerings.
I bought these mats for my daughter and daughter-in-law who both live in Maine with their families! The neutral color will work well for both of them! I’ve been a fan of your products for a long time! My daughter-in- law has bought mats from you! The mats are not something that I need personally, although I love them, but will look great in their homes! Thanks again! The sale was a great way to buy two mats! (I didn’t want to buy for just one household!) Rene Brewer-Durkee
Ropes came damaged. I was disappointed
Store owner replied: Hello, Zagros! If you received a damaged product, that would fall under our warranty. Please send us photos of the doormat and the damaged rope you are referring to and our team would be happy to review the issue. You can send the photos to: orders@theropeco.com
It certainly made the front door of the house look much nicer. The other mats were very faded, worn out and were replaced several times. I expect this mat to last for many years! I liked waiting for the mat to arrive so that I could see what pattern I received. I like what I got. Thanks
Looks great
The sample was almost exactly what I would have ordered. I couldn’t be more pleased with what I received!
Super high quality, very pleased!
So happy I did it was the perfect color and what a deal glad I took the risk
