Every doormat is carefully hand-woven in Maine. The doormat will not mold or mildew and care is quite simple. To clean the doormat an occasional shake-out will do. It repels water during rain showers and doesn’t get waterlogged. We hope you feel the heart in our simple, but rugged product as you brush your shoes off and walk inside. We gave the lobster rope mat to our sister and brother-in-law who just moved to the Intermountain West from a lifetime on the East Coast. They love Maine and we wanted to send something special from the East Coast. The mat looks great at their new front door.

I ordered these doormats after our trip to Maine this summer! They look great, are heavy duty, and perform well on our porch that is mostly uncovered. I've had trouble with other doormats that get gross from rain. This one gives good traction and still looks sharp! It's fun having a useful "souvenir" to remember our time in Maine this summer.

I do love the quality of the rugs...but the color seems to have blue in it...to me it doesn't seem like mushroom color 2 tone, that is pictured and what I ordered.
