The utility basket is sturdy and simple. The wooden insert is well-supported by four ropes along the bottom. Without the insert, small items may not stay contained if the basket is moved around. This basket is intended for indoor use. If you plan to use it outdoors as a planter or poolside basket, we recommend removing the wooden bottom insert and storing it indoors. These rope baskets are great for storing toys, blankets, and all other belongings that need a landing place.
